I’m not complaining about the XP, I just think it strange needing to do every single quest just to be on par with the level requirement for the main quest. It sees a little odd to get barely no XP from killing mob twice my level.Īfter going about 2 bandit camps, and killing some of the mob in this map, which was difficult and didn’t give any noticeable XP, I gave up trying to do anything else and returned to the main quest, I was able to reach the suggested level (5) only when I read Henriks notes and completed part of the quest (don’t know the name). I tried to do some of the “?” and quests on Velen on my way to the main quest marker, but the creatures and quests seem about level 9, more than twice my level, and after I dispatch them, I barely see any difference on XP, and most of the quests were for much more experienced players. I know the main quest starts without combat, but I found it a little odd not being able to get the minimum required level after doing everything on the first map. I arrived at Velen at level 4 after doing every single quest and “?” I found at White Orchard, but the main quest at Velen suggests level 5. I have the steam version, and the game is on version 1.12. I know this topic is old, but I am having a similar problem.
